• Tuition discounts through Rasmussen UniversityLicensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Position Details: - - - - - Type: Per Diem - - - - - Location: Bellevue, WAResponsibilities: - - - - - Understand and adhere to established policies and procedures. - - - - - Ensure adherence to Universal Precautions for resident and staff safety. - - - - - Prepare residents' medications for short-term absences following state regulations. - - - - - Collaborate with the healthcare team to implement the nursing care plan for each patient. - - - - - Initiate preventive and rehabilitative nursing procedures as appropriate. - - - - - Observe signs and symptoms and report to the physician and RN, including reactions to treatments and changes in the patient's physical or emotional condition. - - - - - Teach and counsel patients and their families/significant others on nursing care needs and related issues for home care. - - - - - Participate in medical record audits as assigned. - - - - - Attend staff meetings, patient care conferences, and in-services as scheduled. - - - - - Read Daily Communication Logs for resident information. - - - - - Document any changes in resident status in Progress Notes and review them regularly. - - - - - Complete resident treatments as ordered and scheduled. - - - - - Assist with personal care and physical support as needed. - - - - -Performs other duties as assigned. -Other Skills or Qualifications: - - - - - Proficient computer skills in managing the electronic health record (EHR). - - - - - Ability to manage information electronically and transfer records appropriately. - - - - - Ability to work in an electronic environment. - - - - - Refined deductive reasoning skills for problem-solving during shifts. - - - - - Must have a valid driver's license or dependable access to a vehicle for business use. - - - - - Must be in good health and physically/mentally capable of performing assigned tasks. - - - - - Working knowledge of personal computing and word processing software, particularly - Microsoft Windows. - - - - - Completion of appropriate competencies as required by the facility. -Requirements: - - - - - Licensure: Current unrestricted license to practice as a -Licensed Practical Nurse -(LPN) in WA state. - - - - - Active BLS (Basic Life Support) certification. - - - - - Preferred minimum of one (1) year of nursing experience. - - - - - Strong communication and interpersonal skills. - - - - - Ability to work well in a fast-paced SNF environment. - - - - - Two (2) positive work references - - - - - Successfully complete and pass a background check and drug test. -Who We Are: -Founded in 1966, Interim HealthCare, Inc. is the nation's most experienced healthcare network.
